Diary - Margaret Woods

Diary of Margaret Woods - 3rd May to 12th May 1926bib1

The diary of Margaret Woods offers an interesting and valuable insight into daily reactions and impressions of the General Strike.

Margaret was a fifteen year old school girl living in London. Her diary entries offer a glimpse of daily life during the General Strike, travelling to school, reactions on the street, and life for a young child during this turbulent period. The diary itself is presented here as supplementary material to the main project, and is merely intended as an interesting glimpse of one aspect and perspective of life during the General Strike.

To view each day's entry either use the menu on the right hand side or the pager at the foot of the page.
